Shabby Chic Italy

Try one of our shabby chic painting workshops this autumn. Be driven around the countryside to explore antique fairs with the local expert and find your vintage Italian treasure. Transform your find in the creative workshop with Annie Sloan chalk paints. Your piece can be shipped home or even sold at the vintage market. All accompanied by hands-on local expert tuition, lashings of prosecco and great local food. Find out more at facebook.com/Shabby.Chic.Italy

Eco-friendly olive harvesting holidays

Have you ever wondered how the top quality olive oil that looks at you appealingly from the shelves of your local delicatessen was produced? Well there's a great opportunity to find out and do it for real with us at the beginning of November. We harvest the olives together entirely by hand and sort them with a glass of or two of montepulciano wine in the evening. Then it's a trip with the fruits of our labours to the internationally-renowned Masciantonio Frantoio. Here the olives are pressed and turned into oil. You can watch as they go through every stage, and in local tradition taste a little of the bread, cheese and ham that's on offer to all who visit the press.

Riding for fun and into history.

We offer organised cycling holidays or days out for all ability and fitness levels, complete with bike hire, route planning and even a guide for the day. The recently formed Winterline Association runs rides along the WWII Gustav Line through the Sangro River valley. It was the site of pivotal battles during the liberation of Italy in 1943 and 1944, with the local Maiella Brigade playing a central role. There are rides to be had along the coast, too, that provide a vantage point for miles along the Adriatic shoreline.
